The new Apple iPad: A complete stunner

Technological development is a crucial factor for the progress of any society. Technology has always been present in human society, be it as simple as construction of a plough for cultivation or developing a wood oven for baking bread. An important thing to be noted is that as time advances, technological progress gains momentum. Our current society with a dizzying array of technological offerings is a proof of that. Almost everyday we hear about a new gadget. One of the latest and most discernible technological marvels to hit the market is the new Apple iPad.

Apple and its incredible technology

The new Apple iPad has fascinating features, extending a level above last year’s iPad 2. It is expected to bring sheer pleasure to its users around the world. The key features of this iPad are listed below:-

5 reasons you may want a Linux VPS

#1 Its Cheaper Than Windows VPS

If you are on the budget, you probably do not want to pay extra licensing fees Microsoft demands. Linux is free. Most software for Linux is free as well. Linux is suited to smaller and larger websites.

#2 Better Performance

Linux requires less system resources than Windows. Perhaps you are already using Linux on your home computer. If not, you should try it out, it sounds harder than it really is. Linux OS requires significantly less to run on than Windows, so if you are using graphic intense programs, you might be pleasantly surprised.

#3 Reliability

Linux hosting services are more reliable than Windows hosting services. Because of the different ways in which Windows and Linux handle updates, Linux is generally perceived to offer greater stability than Windows. Though as a rule of thumb, it’s recommended that users reboot their servers once a month. Linux server can be optimized more than Windows server, and there is wealth of free information online on how to do it as Linux has rather large following of people that believe in open source philosophy.

#4 SSH

SSH is network protocol for remote administration of Unix-based computers. SSH access allows you to interact with your server more than Windows VPS Remote Desktop Access. You are using text based interface and it’s easier to accomplish some tasks, but only if you know what you are doing. There will be a learning curve, but it’s worth it.

#5 Less Security Risk

Linux users have less to worry about from script kiddies (people, who would like to call themselves hackers, but have lack of actual know how and are merely running scripts/programs written by somebody more experienced). Most malware is written to work on Windows as great majority of computers use Windows Operating System, as it’s preinstalled on an overwhelmingly large number of new preassembled computers. This is not to say there is no Linux malware, or security risk from hackers, so be sure to keep you’re security practices up to date.
